Are our practices up-to-date?
Speech-language pathology is a young and exciting profession founded on knowledge gained from older disciplines including medicine, psychology, linguistics and education. Each of our speech-language pathologists is a university qualified specialist and a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia.

We are committed to an evidence-based approach to our speech-language pathology work. “Evidence-based practice (EBP) entails a critical mindset and rigorous methods that foster the judicious integration of scientific evidence into clinical decision making”
(C. J. Johnson, 2006, American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, Vol 15, pp. 20-35).

Scholarly research, including collaborations with colleagues from the University of Sydney, keeps us up-to-date with new developments in our field. Such research has resulted in papers presented at national and international speech-language pathology and education conferences.
